First matured in refill American Oak & European Oak casks and finished in Oloroso-seasoned re-charred American Oak casks with heavily re-charred new AO ends, this Scotch features a honeyed aroma of banana and pineapple with a wood spice. On the palate, a honey sweet taste emerges with warming nutmeg and pepper-spice, balanced with fruity hints of grape, peach, and apricot, followed by a long, dry, vanilla oak finish. The overlaying sherry fragrance of our Distiller's Edition perfectly complements the more honeyed aspects of Dalwhinnie. Our 86 proof whisky finds new depths when paired with crème brûlée or chocolate truffles. The clean, deep flavors of this aged whisky call for a neat serve with a splash of chilled water.
