SirDavis Whisky by Beyoncé is a smooth and complex blend, made with 51% rye and 49% malted barley and bottled at 44% ABV. Its unique maturation process, in American oak barrels and Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, results in a rich and flavorful taste with notes of citrus, spices, toffee, and honey. The SirDavis Whisky by Beyoncé pays tribute to her paternal great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a farmer and moonshiner during Prohibition in the American south. Despite alcohol being banned, Hogue would secretly stash bottles of whiskey for his friends to discover and enjoy. Beyoncé, inspired by both Hogue's story and her love for Japanese whisky, sought to create her own spirit. Her goal was to share the power, confidence, and delicious taste of quality whisky with as many people as possible. In partnership with Moët Hennessy, they have crafted a new and unique American whiskey that respects tradition while empowering people to experience something new. Beyoncé collaborated with Dr. Bill Lumsden, director of whisky creation at Glenmorangie and Ardbeg, to bring SirDavis to life.
